REQUIREMENTS AND ELIGIBILITY: Participants must be age 8 and older; participants between ages 8 and 13 must have parents present; participants between ages 14 and 17 must have parents present and/or have in hand parental consent form filled out. All participants must be available for all scheduled rehearsals, meetings, and performances. Due to association with Sanger Unified School District, participants must agree to and pass a background check.
WHAT YOU NEED: Prepare 32 bars from one song in the spirit of the music of the show. Songs from Bye Bye Birdie are not recommended. An accompanist will be provided; bring clearly marked sheet music in the same key in which you will be singing. At your own preference, you may provide your own accompanist, but CDs, iPods, etc. with pre-recorded accompaniment will not be accepted. For more information on voice auditions, please read our blog post "How To Succeed In Auditions Without Really Trying." Bringing your own water to drink is recommended. Due to association with Sanger Unified School District, please bring a valid form of ID.
